Which moisturizer to use and how long to cure your tattoo.

Once you leave the tattoo studio, it is advisable to follow these instructions for taking care of your tattoo:

1. Wash the tattoo within the first two hours using a neutral soap with a pH of 5.5. Avoid overly aggressive cleansers containing alcohol or perfumes that could irritate the tattoo area.

2. Dry gently by dabbing with a sanitary napkin or paper towel, avoiding the use of gauze or similar materials.

3. Protect the tattoo with cling film. You can use kitchen cellophane, changing it several times a day. It's important to leave the tattoo uncovered as much as possible to allow it to breathe.

How to care for your tattoo? Hygiene and common sense are the keys to ensuring safe healing, before, during, and even after your tattoo heals.

A tattoo's healing process typically lasts two to three weeks, depending on its size, location, and the technique used. Remember that a tattoo is like a wound, and special care must be taken during the first few days after getting it, avoiding direct contact with animals, dust, and potentially contaminated environments. Avoid soaking in any water, such as swimming pools, seawater, saunas, etc., for a couple of weeks .

Hygiene

Wash under warm running water using, as a cleanser, a neutral soap with a pH of 5.5 or an intimate soap with the same pH as your skin.

Avoid irritation and redness by using soaps containing perfumes in their composition.

Rinse well and make sure all soap is removed from the tattoo. Pat dry using a sponge towel or disposable paper towel. Don't rub too hard, but make sure to remove any remaining blood and serum.

Let the tattoo breathe and try to wash it often if you can leave it without film.
